Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?
Well, I wonder if my fears and suspicions over the past few years are becoming reality. I have thought that the "War on Terror" will be the death of American society, and it seems that I may have been closer to correct than we first thought. Does anyone think that we would be in the same financial predicament that we are now if we had not engaged in an unjustified war with a people who are technologically and socially behind us by at least a hundred years?

High Speed?
So... The network at my job is completely awesome. Since you can't tell that my words are dripping with sarcasm, let me spell it out for you. It sucks. I think that the dumb nuts in network security pick random days to block random sites. I say this because there are often times that I can't get to Google for about a week at a time. Why Google??? Have you ever tried to research a programming issue without Google? Some people enjoy trying to ice skate uphill. I'm not one of them.
Just one more thing, in case any of you network guys happen to read this: My network at home is about 800000% faster AND it blocks all of the stuff I don't want to be seen by my son. I even understand Active Directory. Figure it out. Really.

So I moved...
I was bored, so I bought a house, moved there, invited people to live with me for a while. Other than that, not much has changed. Work is the same mind-numbing pain that 90% or so of the population endures daily, why should I be any different.
We got a puppy, I'm not really sure if I mentioned that in my last post, but she is awesome. Izzy is a mini Schnauzer and she is really smart. So far I think she knows about 200 English words, and probably about 20 Spanish ones. Smart Dog.
I just started programming in Java, using the Struts Framework, and I gotta say, I think it is crap. Maybe it is because I am used to the ASP.NET Methodology, but it seems to me that there is a lot of stuff that I have to learn in order to write a page in JSP that would take me 5 Minutes in ASP.NET. I was looking using Ruby on Rails, because it looks super productive. But again, it seems like that is an awful lot to learn.
Latest Music: Five Finger Death Punch. Awesome; Painfully heavy, blazingly fast, but awesome.
